Kaaren E. Skaer

Kaaren Elizabeth Skaer, age 54, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 8, 2020. Kaaren was born February 11, 1966 in Appleton and spent most of her childhood with a loving family in Stevens Point before moving to Appleton and starting her adult life with the Oudenhoven family. She graduated from Little Chute High School and worked for Valley Packaging in Appleton; later moving to Oconomowoc, where she worked for Paragon for 15 years before retiring to better enjoy life and move back to Appleton. Kaaren loved the Green Bay Packers, dogs and was an avid participant in Special Olympics for many years.
Surviving Kaaren are her parents, Peter and Barbara Skaer; brother Ted (Carolyn) Skaer and their children Emily and Evan; sister: Holly (Craig) Patterson and their children Lizzie and Chase; sister: Jennifer (Ben) Boldt and their children Tyler and Zachary; long-time guardian and friend Malynda L. (Bruce) Oudenhoven and her daughter Elessa (James) VanKirk.
A public service will not be held- but please remember Kaaren in your own special way.
