Juletta "Jill" Hockers

Juletta “Jill” Tracy (Kaster) Hockers, 86 of Townsend, died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 29, 2011, after a long illness. She was born July 6, 1925 on a farm in Preble, WI to Mathew and Gertrude (Zuidmulder) Kaster. Jill married Earl M. Hockers on May 12, 1945, at St. Mary’s Church in DePere. Jill worked side-by-side with her husband, Earl on a 197 acre dairy farm south of DePere. After they sold their farm, Jill was a seamstress before retiring with her husband on Boot Lake. She was an avid golfer, bowler, was Treasurer of the Boot Lake Association and active church member of St. Mary of the Lakes church in Lakewood. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Earl; a daughter, Kathleen (John) DeBoth; a son, Rodney (Nancy Van Den Heuvel); four grandchildren; Amy (Jeremy) Ruth, Steven (Sara Stillings) DeBoth, Lori (Michael) LeRoy and Eric Hockers; six great-grandchildren; Kaitlin and Brianna Ruth, Nathan and Elena LeRoy, Juniper Wisneski and Iain DeBoth; one sister; Marlene Reiche; three sisters-in-law; Evelyn Geurts, Angeline (Carter) Rukamp and Helen Haese; many nieces and nephews. Jill is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Melvin (Margaret) Kaster and Harlen (Joan) Kaster; a brother-in-law, Raymond Reiche; her father and mother-in-law, Louis and Ida (Henrigillis) Hockers; sisters and brothers-in-law; Ethel (Wallace McMonagel) and (William Bos), Mabel and Sidney Seifert, Lucy and Kenneth Carufel, George Geurts, Norbert Carter, Harold Rukamp, Alfred Haese and Leona Hockers. The family would like to recognize the special care Jill received from Unity Hospice; CMH, Oconto Falls; CMH Primary Care Clinic, Mountain; Oconto County Commission on Aging; St. Mary of the Lakes Parish and the Social Concerns Committee; her neighbors and friends on Boot Lake and Mary Lawrence, niece and hospice care nurse. Family and friends may call on Monday, October 3, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive in Ledgeview from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00P.M. on Monday at the church with the Rev.
