Judy Reinhart

August 10, 1930 — August 24, 2017

Thursday morning, August 24, 2017, Alice M. (Judy) Reinhart, Green Bay, passed away peacefully in her sleep. Judy was born on August 10, 1930 as the third child of Irene C. (O’Neil) Reinhart and Aloysius J. Reinhart. Judy attended St. John Grade School and was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Class of 1948. She spent summers with her family at Alpine Lodge in Egg Harbor, WI. For several years following graduation she and her sister were caretakers for their father until his passing in 1959. Judy worked at Washington Junior High School and Cormier School. In the Green Bay Diocesan Catholic Schools Department of Education she worked for Reverend Richard Kleiber. Later she was his housekeeper, at St. Mary-Casco, St. Mary-Algoma and St. Louis Dykesville until his death in 1999. Judy also served many years with the St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary. Judy joins her father and mother, Irene and Loy, George Edward Reinhart (brother), Ann Catherine (Reinhart) Kitslaar (sister), and Sr. Mary Irene Reinhart, CSJ (sister). Judy is survived by her sister, Pat H. (Reinhart) Britton; her nieces and nephews: Ann, Katie, Bob (Laurie), Chuck (Mary), Judy (Gary), Mike, Fran, Susan (John), Peggy (Mark) and Tom (Michelle); 8 grand-nieces, 7 grand-nephews, 3 great-great-nieces, one-great-great-nephew and many, many godchildren. Judy will be remembered for her big smile, her kindness and her fun-loving nature! She loved Bingo, Scrabble, and Packer games. Green tea and toast was her “go to’ meal when traveling; and she loved to travel, especially with her sisters. She was a strident taskmaster at her annual strawberry jam making sessions. She had a special fondness for her black labs and her canaries. Judy taught her little sister Pat, and her niece Peggy how to drive a stick shift. She was known to never turn down a hot fudge sundae and cherry coke from Dehns, a turtle sundae with extra fudge from Zestys and her turtles from Seroogys! Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, on Monday, August 28, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com Our family would like to thank her loving family at Rennes and the Renaissance, especially Gale, who stated: “she was special to everyone, a mother to some and grandmother to others.” We also wish to thank her personal caregiver Sara Pirman, and hairdresser for many years Linda Perry.
