Judith Elizabeth Lemere

November 3, 1942 — October 7, 2022

Judith “Judy” LeMere, 79, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2022 with her family by her side at Aurora BayCare Medical Center. She was born to Joseph and Florence (Bauknecht) Ziefle on Nov. 3, 1942 in Wauwatosa, Wis. The family moved to Green Bay a short time later, where she spent her childhood, attended school and married Donald LeMere on Aug. 17, 1963. The couple then lived in Delaware, South Carolina and Arizona and on the islands of Puerto Rico and Guam while Don was a career member of the United States Air Force. They returned to Green Bay after his retirement and built a beautiful log cabin just south of the city, where they have lived since.

Judy enjoyed baking with her grandkids, painting, fishing, embroidery, arts and crap (crafts), the Green Bay Packers and collecting miniature bells. She was the go-to person for her relatives’ sewing repairs and had an extensive collection of all things dachshund-related.

She is survived by her husband, Don; son Troy (Sandy) LeMere of Allentown, Penn., daughter Heather (Kurt) Goudy of Newtown, Conn., and son Tracy (GG) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren Brenden and Taylor LeMere, Ying Hua and Zheng Fang Zeller, Mollie and Brody Goudy; and Sophie and Jackson LeMere; sisters Joanne Zipperer and Jan Yagodzinski; sisters-in-law Pat Ziefle, Ginger Schaut and Betty Peacock; nieces Jennie (Paul) Frelich, Susan (Tammie) Bickett, Chris (Jeff) Ferris and Stacy Yagodzinski; and nephews Jay (Yuki), Jeff (Emmanuella) and Lee (Chikako) Schaut; Al (Mariela) Peacock; John and Mike Ziefle, Steve and Dave Navarre and Bryan Yagodzinski; and the dachshund, Elly.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Cassie LeMere Zeller; parents, Florence and Joseph Ziefle; father and mother-in-law, Grover and Nora LeMere; brother Jerry Ziefle; brothers-in-law Al Schaut, Vic Peacock and Jim Zipperer; and nephew Mike Navarre.
