Joyce May (Duquaine) Reed

January 15, 1931 — October 13, 2013

Joyce May Jussine Reed, 82, Green Bay, died Sunday, October 13, 2013, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born January 15, 1931, in Green Bay, Wi to Clement and Josephine (Delvaux) Duquaine. On January 29, 1949, Joyce was united in marriage to Lloyd Reed, with whom she enjoyed a happy and fulfilling 60-year marriage. They raised a family of eight children, teaching them to value above all faith, family and education. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Nothing made her happier than when her children and their families all came together for the holidays and Packer games. Her eleven grandchildren learned family recipes from her and had so much fun together at Gramma and Grampa’s house. In addition to raising eight children, she was employed at St. Vincent Hospital for over thirty years, enjoying the work and her family of co-workers. She had a special place in her heart for her siblings, in-laws, and her many nieces and nephews. Survivors include her eight children and their spouses: Stephanie (Mark) Kollath, Green Bay; Lynn (Dan) Shafel, Madison; Michael (Gail) Reed, Green Bay; Laurie (Ron) Ropson, Green Bay; Andy (Cindy) Reed, Eau Claire; Pete (Lisa) Reed, Plainfield, IL; Shawn (Molly) Reed, Rome, GA; Maureen (Steve) Sellin, Green Bay; her eleven grandchildren: Kristin (Nick) Omiccioli and Tim (Silvia) Shafel; Mick, Caitlyn and Bridget Reed; Chris and Bethany Brodhagen; Holly and Melanie Reed; Connor and Sarah Reed; step-grandchildren Aaron and Sarah Ropson; step-great grandchildren Trystan, Cole, and Kaylan; her sister Nancy (Ed) Nelson, Sobieski; sisters- and brothers-in-law; Don (Dorothy) Reed, Seymour; Patrick Reed, Green Bay; Joan (Jim) Kralovetz, Crivitz; Delores (Earl) Gillis, Kaukauna; Laverne Duquaine, Green Bay; Jack Faccio, MI; and many nieces and nephews.
