Joyce Duwe

Joyce Marie Duwe, 75, of Denmark entered into Eternal life with her Lord on July 16, 2022. Joyce was born November 30, 1946, to Lester and Bernice (Christiansen) Lambrecht. She graduated from Gillett High in 1964. On May 4, 1968, Joyce was united in marriage to Roger Duane Duwe. They recently celebrated 54 years of marriage.

One of Joyce's greatest joys was raising her children. She also enjoyed going to rummage sales and thrift stores, especially buying gifts for family and friends. She was active in the Nifty Thrifty's, Our Savior’s Lutheran Quilting Group and the Denmark Women's Bible study.

Joyce is survived by her husband Roger and her children Wendy Sue of Denmark and Aarin (Lara) of Sun Prairie, WI. Her sisters Jan Janssen and Jolene Lambrecht and sister-in-law Marilee Dickrell as well as an Aunt Darlene Lambrecht. In addition, her Godchildren Paul Janssen, Stuart Scholz, Lisa Radcliff, Chris Kratzke; honorary brother Mike (Carol) Riemer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Bernice; in-laws Henry and Agatha Duwe, her brothers-in-law Bill Janssen and Ben Ingalls and her niece Michelle Korth. Roger's family Robert and Marcella Duwe, Marilyn and Robert Klevesahl, Ronald and Paula Duwe and Tony Dicrell.

Joyce has been reunited with her beloved pets Mutley, Kassie and Molly. In particular, her grandcat Carl Sorlie with whom she loved her daily chats on the phone. Carl was insistent on sharing his day with her and would not allow her to get a word in edgewise!

Memorials in honor of Joyce may be sent to Our Saviors Lutheran Quilting Group or Denmark Cupboard.

Visitation will be Wednesday July 20, 2022, from 9am – 10:45am at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (435 Wisconsin, Denmark) with a Funeral Service at 11am with Pastor Andy Zoerb officiating.
