Joyce A. Casanova

Joyce A. Casanova, 89, of Green Bay passed away surrounded by family Saturday, June 25, 2022.
Born in Gladstone, Michigan to the late Walter and Ruth (Johnson) Lied, Joyce enjoyed the Upper Peninsula’s lifestyle and carefree youth, but was made even better December 23, 1950, when she married the love of her life, Eugene Casanova. Joyce was a wonderful mother and homemaker raising four children, she also enjoyed playing bridge, other card games, bowling, golfing, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and ceramics. One of Joyce’s most admirable traits was that she understood what was important in life.

Joyce is survived by her children; Paul (Sue) Casanova of Green Bay, Geno Casanova of Albuquerque, NM, Don (Gina) Casanova of Green Bay, and Linda (Mark) Pearson of Green Bay, grandchildren; Tom (Jennifer), Mike, Tony (Kristen), Calan, Brittany, Alexis, Logan and Cassidy, great grandchildren; Anisten, Allie, Abigail, Katelyn, Serena, Levi, and Emma.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, parents, brothers, Art and Marvin, and her sister Shirley.

There will be a Memorial Service for Joyce Friday, July 1, 2022, at Cotter Funeral Home (860 N. Webster Ave De Pere) from 10:30am until 12noon, with a prayer service at 11am with Pastor Lori Swenson.

In lieu of flower a memorial fund has been established in Joyce’s name.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Park Place, and Heartland Hospice especially Tracy and Lori.
