Jon E. Yohanek

Jon E. Yohanek, 35, Denmark, died unexpectedly as a result of a motorcycle accident, Saturday, August 28, 2010. He was born September 16, 1974 in Manitowoc to Edward “Jack” and Patricia (Kohlbeck) Yohanek. On March 18, 2006 he married Sue Grusznski at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown. Jon was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a great respect for nature. He loved to grill and cook amazing meals for his family and friends. Jon’s first passion was his beautiful little girl Andie. He was a devoted and loving father and husband. Survivors include his loving wife, Sue; daughter, Andie; parents, Jack and Patty, Cato; his “big” little brother and best friend, Nick (April) Yohanek, Milwaukee; niece (Godchild), Clara; nephews, Jackson and Max; parents-in-law, Ray and Elsie Grusznski; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dave (Shelly) Grusznski, Debbie (Paul) Ossmann, Kristy (Craig) Wenner, and Don Grusznski; nieces and nephews: Alissa (Aaron) Vanden Hoogen, Arin (Mike) McComb, Jared Grusznski, Sarah (Darrel) Cappelle, Becky (Scot) Hammann, Jordan Wenner, and Alex Grusznski; special uncle, Gary Kohlbeck; and beloved dog and hunting companion, Jackie. Jon was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Florence Yohanek and Harvey and Matilda Kohlbeck. Family and friends may call Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County R, Denmark, from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7:30p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church, 125 St. Claude St., Denmark from 9:30a.m. until 10:45a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Wednesday at 11:00a.m. with the Rev. Ron Colombo officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Catholic Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to Jon’s family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Andie’s higher education.
