John Martin Pozza

August 22, 1960 — August 31, 2014

John Martin Pozza, age 54, defied all odds and celebrated the 54th anniversary of his birth and passed away on August 31, 2014. He was born in Antigo to John “Jack” and Barb (Worman) Pozza on August 22, 1960. Even though John was limited physically, his mind challenged us all. John loved life, family, the Packers, the Brewers and the Cubs. He was very fond of the aquatics at the CP Center, for which he was a poster child in 1968. John enjoyed annual trips to Camp Wawbeek. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. Deeply missing John are his brothers and sisters: Stephani (Gary), Thomas (Karen), Cynthia (Mark), Patrick (Cindy), Gina (Dave) and Steven, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Pozza. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, from 5-8pm on Tuesday, September 2. A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30pm Tuesday evening. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St, Allouez, from 10:00-10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with the Rev. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating and John’s uncle, Rev. Jeremiah Worman concelebrating. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Online condolences at www.cotterfuneralhome.com The Pozza family would like to thank the staff at Wyndemere and the CP Center, as well as the Staffs of St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice for all of their care and concern. Memorials may be directed to Cerebral Palsy, Inc of Green Bay.
