John V. “Jack” Mancoske, 86, Denmark, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 4, 2010, surrounded by his family. He was born April 3, 1924 in the Town of Maple Grove to the late Jacob and Cecelia (Dorsey) Mancoske. John was a dairy farmer for his entire life and also drove milk truck and school bus for Denmark School District. On April 27, 1946 John married Beatrice “Blondie” Olson at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brillion. He had a passion for horses and was a member of the Belgian Draft Horse Corporation of America. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Blondie; children: Lee (Sally) Mancoske, Tom (Donna) Mancoske, Gary (Terri) Mancoske, Sharon (Bill) Rentmeester, and Susie (Jim) Dessart; grandchildren: Michael and Patrick Mancoske; Tom (Marcy), Lee, Gary, Katie (Greg) and Jackie Bea Rentmeester; Tim, John G. (Sarah), Jacob, and Joe (special friend, Emily) Mancoske; Megan, Samantha Jo, and Danielle Bea Dessart; and Todd (Kimberlee) and Chad Stedl; great-grandchildren, Ivan Stedl and Autumn Louise Mancoske; sisters-in-law: Sylvia Gilbertson, Delores Rose, and Shirley (Butch) Steinhorst; brother-in-law, Gene Olson; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; son, John G. “Jackie” Mancoske; infant brother, James; brothers, Clem (Marie) and Cliff (Marion); sisters, Luzetta (Ervin) Maertz and LaVerne (Al) Hein; sister-in-law, Luella (Guilford) Gilbertson; and brothers-in-law: Leo (Cleo) Olson, Floyd Olson, and Orin Gilbertson; Family and friends may call Friday, May 7, 2010 at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County R., Denmark, from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m., with a parish prayer service at 7:30p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home, Saturday morning from 9:00a.m. until the procession leaves for church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:30a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Rd., Green Bay, with the Rev. Ron Belitz officiating.
