John J. Allard, 69, Purvis, MS, passed away on August 17, 2014 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS. He was born on August 21, 1944 in Green Bay, son of the late Francis J. and Marguerite (Simonet) Allard. He graduated from Premontre High School in 1962 and UW-Madison in 1966. John was an Electrical Engineer, working for 3M, AMF Paragon, and Sunbeam/Oster. He was a proud Wisconsin Christmas Tree Grower on his farm in Door County for 16 years. He loved fishing in Northern WI and Canada. He also had a love for the game of golf. When John retired to Mississippi he bought an RV and became a reversed snowbird, summers in Wisconsin and winters in Mississippi. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, married on September 5, 1964, Judith (Judy) Neville Allard; three children: James E. Allard (Fiancée-Ashley), Jean L. Allard (Ryan Grow), Joseph N. Allard (Sheree); one Granddaughter, Zella Allard Grow; brothers, Francis J. (Joe) (Carolyn) Allard, Peter (Lynn) Allard, Paul (Judy) Allard; sisters, Agnes (John) Biese, Rosemary (Bill) Robl, Rita Dahlke; sister-in-law, Nancy Hensley Allard; brothers-in-law, Dick (Sharon) Neville, Jerry (Gail) Neville; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Rosella Van Vonderen Allard; two brothers, William Allard and Robert Allard; brother-in-law, Dale Dahlke. Family and friends will celebrate John’s life and John Judy’s 50th Wedding Anniversary on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 11:30am until 1:00pm at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., Allouez, WI. A Memorial Mass will be at 1:00pm at the church with Rev. Richard Mauthe officiating. Interment in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, Champion and the building fund at St. Fabian’s Catholic Church, Hattiesburg, MS.
