John E. Beerntsen

John E. Beerntsen, age 52, of De Pere, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 15, 2016. He was born on August 3, 1964 to Robert W. and Carole (Knaus) Beerntsen. John was a gifted carpenter and spent much of his working life in construction. He was an avid sports fan, and especially enjoyed the Packers and Brewers, as well as working on vintage Ford trucks and tractors. John is survived by his daughter Abbie; his father, Robert W. Beerntsen; siblings: Robert J. Beerntsen, Julie (Ken) Smudde and Sandy (Bob) Glowacki; nephews and nieces: Brad, Alex, Ann, Kristin and Jenny; as well as aunts, uncles, other family and friends. John was preceded in death by his mother, Carole; maternal and paternal grandparents. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Friday, October 21, from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Interment in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
