JoAnn E. VerDoot, 74, Sobieski, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday morning, Nov. 20, 2011, after a battle with cancer. She was born on December 7, 1936, in Green Bay, to the late Henry and Laura (Ceasar) VerDoot. JoAnn was a graduate of Green Bay East High School. She worked at Freeman Paper Company and Oneida Casino. JoAnn had a ceramics business and took pride in her ceramic art. JoAnn is survived by her sister, Carole (Francis) Hendricks; brother-in-law, Dale Verheyden; eleven nieces and nephews, and special friends Nancy Keckhaver, and Kay Durean. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline Verheyden; brother, Milton VerDoot; and many cousins. Visitation will be Friday at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St., from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Burial will be in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
