Jim Williquette, age 67, passed away after a four-year battle with melanocytoma. He was born in Green Bay, WI to Marlene and James Williquette, the oldest of five siblings. He married Teresa Bilotti on May 19, 1984.

Jim served 30 years on the Green Bay Fire Department and was awarded firefighter of the year on November 1, 1982. He was a courageous firefighter and was well respected by the entire department. He ended his career as a captain and was able to enjoy 13 years of his retirement golfing, hunting, fishing and spending precious time with family and countless friends.

He was a member of the men’s club at Brown County Golf Course where he had five holes in one, aced all par 3s. He was an outstanding athlete his entire life. He walked on and played football at Nebraska as a freshman. He was all conference baseball, basketball and football, as well as all metro baseball and football. Jim was blessed with countless good friends throughout his life, many of them from his youth.

Jim will be remembered as a stand-up, loyal man who you could count on for anything.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Williquette, stepfather Edward Nerat and younger sister Wendy Williquette.

He is survived by his mother Marlene Nerat; siblings: Mike and Nancy Williquette, Mary and Clarence Mansfield and Susan Zuelke; his wife Teresa; children: Nicole (Cem) Zengin, Kelton Hatton, Jake (Chelsey) Williquette and Rachel (John) Williquette; six beautiful grandchildren: Okan, Altan, Kyler, Bronson, Gia and Jordy; as well as countless nieces and nephews of both the Williquette and Bilotti families.

Family and friends may gather at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Thursday, August 3, from 3-6pm, followed by a family-led sharing of memories from 6-7pm.
