Jerome "Jerry" Dean Hutchins

Jerome “Jerry” Hutchins, age 76 of De Pere, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2020 after a lengthy struggle with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia. He was born on May 19, 1944 to the late Delbert and Helen (Borth) Hutchins in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He worked as a social worker for Wood County in Marshfield for four years, then moved up to Green Bay to work as an Administrative Assistant for the State of Wisconsin with Health and Social Services Department for 34 years until his retirement. Jerry loved to travel, he made to all 49 states (Hawaii was not on his bucket list) as well as the British Isles, Germany, Puerto Rico, Australia, and New Zealand. He enjoyed hiking and tent camping, also working on his cars, woodworking and he loved to read.
He is survived by his wife, Leah and daughter, Dr. Larisa Hutchins as well as his sisters and brothers in law; Karen (Bill) Carl and Kevron (Rose) Schiro, nieces; Michele (Ernie Ramsey) Schiro-Ramsey, Sarah Carl and Sylvia Carl. Jerry is further survived by his great niece, Josie Carl-Stason and nephew, Christopher Schiro.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his godchild and nephew, Eric Schiro.
In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held, but rather a gathering may take place in the future when it is safe to be together.
