Jeanie D. Lambert, 82, De Pere, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 27, 1931 in De Pere, daughter to the late Leo and Eleanore (McQuade) Pranke. On October 6, 1951 she married John “Jack” Lambert in De Pere. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2011. Jeanie and Jack had a loving, exciting and adventurous marriage for 59 years traveling back and forth from Florida and Wisconsin. She retired from HJ Martin and Son as Executive Secretary. Jeanie loved spending time with the “girls” from club, crossword puzzles, and enjoyed her time at the YMCA with friends. Jeanie adored her children and grandchildren. Jeanie is survived by her three wonderful sons: Daniel John, Chicago; Steven John (Becky), De Pere; and Joseph Peter (Hilary), Denmark. She so loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Carrie (David) Griffiths, Austin, TX and one great-granchild on the way; Joseph Lambert and great-granddaughter, Mikela, Green Bay; Jill (Russ) Patton and great-grandchildren, Sam and Dakota, Marinette, WI; Janelle French, Green Bay; Abbie and Tyler Lambert, De Pere; also many close loving nieces and nephews; brother, Joseph (Pat) Pranke; sister, Joanie Steckart, all of De Pere; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Pranke, De Pere. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; brother, Bill; and sisters, Hope Pranke and Faith Johnson. Family and friends may call Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 12:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
