Jean (Hintz) Schneider, age 87, of De Pere, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at a local hospital. She was born on January 28, 1930 in Green Bay to Harland and Laura (Roppel) Hintz. On December 24, 1950, she married the love of her life, Kenneth “Kenny” Schneider at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Kenny preceded her in death on March 27, 2016 after 65 years of marriage. Jean worked as a R.N. for the Green Bay Clinic, and was a proud breast cancer survivor. She was faithfully involved as a volunteer for the De Pere Christian Outreach, First United Presbyterian Church in De Pere, delivering Mobile Meals, delivering library books to local nursing homes and too many other organizations to mention. Jean was a long-time member of First United Presbyterian Church in De Pere, where she was a deacon and elder. With Kenny, they enjoyed traveling together, especially to watch the birds. Survivors include her brother, Wayne (Barb) Hintz of Tomahawk, nieces and nephews, Joan (Lee) Collar, LuAnn (Pat) Davis, Lee Kaminecki, Laurie (Mark) Brodhagen, Julie (Jeff) Starr, Mark (Heidi) Hintz, Kathy (Mark) Senarski, Peter (Jayna) Hintz, Amy, Kathy, Tim, Andy, and Lee Strebel; great-nephews and nieces, Matthew (Kristin), Todd (Becky), Lee Collar, Elizabeth (Mike) Maggle, Jonathan Davis, Maggie Brodhagen, Amber and April Starr, Kerri, Katie and Chris Hintz, Easton and Mark Senarski, Janessa and Alex Hintz; great-great-niece and nephews, Camren, Kyle, Ryan and Jay Collar, Jack Maggle; her beloved cat, Charles “Chuck,” other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny, her parents, Harland and Laura Hintz; and a sister Lois (Chester) Kaminecki. Family and friends may visit at First United Presbyterian Church, 605 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm with Rev. Luke Farewell officiating.
