Jane Marie Collins

Jane Marie Collins, 88, Denmark, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at a local nursing home. She was born May 21, 1924 to Carter and Emma Hendricksen. She had one brother, Earl Hendricksen (Barbara). She went to Denmark grade and high school. She worked at Bahm’s Depeartment store and Badger State Bank. She married Orville John Collins on September 24, 1949 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Denmark, and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2008. Jane was a member of the following organizations: Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Denmark, Grace Lutheran Church, Green Bay, Esther Circle, VFW Auxiliary over 50 years, 8th District, Homemaker’s Brown County, and the Denmark Optimist Club. Jane is survived by five children: Eddie Kurowski (Karen), Peggy Jirovetz, Charmaine Holzinger, Sally Collins (Sue), Tammy Jane Stock (Dave); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother; sister-in-law; brother-in-law; sister-in-law; nephew and son-in-law. Family and friends may call Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m., at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark, with the Rev. Julie Wrubbel-Lange officiating, followed by a Denmark VFW Auxiliary Post 6705 service. Interment will follow in West Danish Cemetery.
