James N. Stary

James N. (Jim) Stary, 81, De Pere, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013. On July 17, 1931 he was born to the late James P. and Dorothy Stary in Green Bay. Jim served his country during peacetime in Germany. He later married Joyce Glawe. For over 50 years Jim was a machinist at Fort Howard Paper Company. After retirement he taught religious education at St. Francis Xavier Parish in De Pere, volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul and did missionary and migrant work. Jim is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Jennifer (Cliffton) Bagley; grandchildren, Jessica H Hoipkemier, Miles and Lyle Petty; brother, Jerry Stary. Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 10am until 11am. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Jim at 11am with Rev. Judah S. Pigon, MF officiating. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
