James "Jim" Zellner

February 5, 1933 — June 18, 2014

James “Jim” Zellner, 81, Denmark, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at a local nursing home. He was born February 5, 1933 in Green Bay, son of the late Jacob and Margaret (Kane) Zellner, and adoptive parents, Mame (Kane) and Mike Morgan. Jim attended school in Stark, and farmed all his life on the family farm. He enjoyed plants and flowers, farming, and was a history buff. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Stark. Survivors include his nieces and nephews: Sam and Sue Zellner, Annie Zellner and special friend, Neil, Alex Zellner and special friend, Kathy, and Amy Siehr; six great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, MaryEllen Zellner; extended family and some of the best neighbors a man could have. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Margaret Zellner and Mame and Mike Morgan; and siblings: Bob Zellner, Leo Zellner, John Hoxie, Margaret Morgan, and an infant sister. Family and friends may call Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark, where there will be a parish prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stark, with Fr. Ron Colombo officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
