James Robert (Jim) Pahl, 54, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly following a short illness on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI. The son of Vern and the late Janice (Becker) Pahl was born in Green Bay on August 14, 1962. He graduated from East De Pere High School in 1981. He enlisted in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in January of 1986. On Sept. 5, 1987 he married the love of his life, Mary Beth Zegers. Jim worked in sales at Pahl Quality Windows and Doors, eventually becoming an owner of the company. He was presently employed as an Outside Sales Representative for Bay Industries. He was a long time member of the Brown County Home Builders Association. Jim loved deer hunting and fishing, especially the yearly hunting trips to Montana with his dad and brothers. He was very proud of the eight point buck he shot this year. His greatest loves were his wife and daughter. He was devoted to providing them with the best life possible. Jim was very generous with his time and talents. He was the “go-to-guy” for family and friends, as he could fix anything. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Mary and the joy of their life, daughter, Heather. He is also survived by his parents, Vern and Suzanne (Bressers) Pahl; his brothers, Steve (Cindy) Pahl, Brian Pahl, Tom Pahl, Chris (Michelle)Pahl; his sisters, Sue (Bob) Prall, Sandy Birchfield, Kelley (Chad) Ramos. Jim is further survived by his in-laws; Jim (Mary) Zegers, John (Jean) Zegers, Ann (Joe) Hilke, Don (Terry) Zegers, Joe (Karen) Zegers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on (TODAY) Friday, December 2, from 4-7pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, at the church, from 9:30am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Jim at 11:00am Saturday with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating and Rev. Charles Hoffmann concelebrating. Interment in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere. COTTER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY is assisting the family.
