Irene G. Feuerstein

Irene G. Feuerstein, 92, Allouez, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, at Rennes Health Care Center, De Pere, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 2, 1920 in Warwick, ND, daughter of the late Thomas S. and Ida (Schanke) Hanson. She graduated from Green Bay West High School, and married John E. Feuerstein, February 26, 1949 in Racine, WI, and he preceded her in death on August 27, 2006. She worked in the Accounting Department at Fort Howard Paper for many years, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her three daughters: Helen Haworth, Oak Creek, WI, Connie (Bill) Irving, Elgin, IL, and Lynn (Wayne) Krause, Allouez; five grandchildren: Amy (Timm) Seehafer, Green Bay, Matt (Heidi) Krause, Green Bay, Chris (Miranda) Krause, Green Bay, Geoffrey (Andrea) Wild, De Pere, and Eric Irving, Chicago, IL; four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Gavin Krause, and Evan and Mason Seehafer; one brother, Mark (Marylee) Hanson, Dousman, WI; and a sister Geraldine Hansen, Janesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Helen; brothers, Thomas (Dolores) and Donald; a son-in-law, Joseph Haworth; and a brother-in-law, Jack Hansen. Family and friends may call Friday, April 13, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 S. Broadway, Green Bay, with the Rev. Michael Baucom officiating. Interment will be in Ft. Howard Memorial Park. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, De Pere, is assisting the family.
