Holly Elizabeth Pieters

Holly Elizabeth Pieters, 70, of De Pere, WI passed away peacefully in her home on March 24, 2024. She was born on February 4, 1954 to Richard Tiesling and Jean (Komp) Tiesling in Milwaukee, WI. She attended Nicolet High School and completed college coursework at Cardinal Stritch University. Holly married Daniel (Dan) Pieters in October of 1986. Holly was a fiercely loving mother and family member with a tenacious spirit and playful sense of humor.

Holly served the De Pere School District for over 25 years as a support staff member, supervising students during recess times. She enjoyed retirement for several years leading up to her passing. In her spare time, Holly enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her dog. She has always been a lover of animals, coffee, and warm sunny weather. She was a volunteer for various efforts in the community and took trips to visit her daughters on occasion.

Holly will be deeply missed by her daughters Amanda Pieters (Andy Garske) of Fargo, ND and Megan Varela (Lani) of Minneapolis, MN; her siblings Richard Tiesling (Liz) of Luxemberg, Todd Tiesling (Kathy) of Green Bay, and Jennifer Barrette of Green Bay; her nieces Rebecca Shimek (Nic) of Green Bay and Elizabeth Barrette of Green Bay, Elizabeth’s children, Jordaan and Yasmine; her sister-in-law Sandra Rauch; her many friends; and her beloved dog Leo.

Private family services will be held on Friday April 5, 2024 at Cotter Funeral Home. A celebration of life for family and friends will follow on Saturday April 6, 2024 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at The De Pere Community Center at VFW Park (600 Grant St, De Pere, WI 54115). Those who wish to send flowers may do so by directing them to Cotter Funeral Home (860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, WI 54115) on or by Friday April 5.
