Herold Erwin Treichel

Our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather Herold Erwin Treichel, 70, passed away after a one and a half year battle with a rare and aggressive colon cancer. Herold was born on November 23, 1945 to Milton and Marlis (Schnell). Herold went to Zion Lutheran School in Morrison through eighth grade and graduated from DePere High School Herold married Patricia Ann Denor on November 18th, 1967 and together they raised four children. Herold worked at Brillion Iron Works right out of high school and retired from there after 46 years. Herold and his wife resided in the town of Morrison where he was born and raised. He loved being an active member of the community and served the Town of Morrison for 27 years in which 14 of them he was the town chairman. Herold was an active member of the Morrison Zion Lutheran Church where he was baptized, confirmed, and married. The center of Herold's life was his family. He was known as a compassionate, fun loving husband, dad and grandpa. He loved to socialize, tinker in his shed, and cut wood with his wife. Herold had a special love for animals and throughout the years had some very special pets, especially his dogs Amber and Macy. Herold is survived by his loving wife Patricia of almost 49 years, his children Todd (Amy), Deanna (David) Kosky and Perry; six grandchildren: Alison, Jacob, Anna, Elise, Alaina, and Samantha. Herold is further survived by his sister Debra (Mike) Sanders, mother-in-law Elizabeth Denor, many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Jesse (Perry's twin), his parents, father-in-law Arthur Denor, and a brother Douglas. Friends may call at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church, 7395 Cty Rd W, Morrison, on Monday, August 22, from 3-7pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, at the church, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Funeral Service at 11:00 am Tuesday with Pastor Randy Ott officiating. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Herold's name for the American Cancer Society to assist with colon cancer research. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Michael Volk and all the wonderful staff, at Green Bay Oncology, that took such great care of Herold where he and his family were made to feel like they were the most important people there.
