Helen Murawski

September 5, 1947 — April 13, 2023

Helen M. (Harrington) Murawski, 75, of Allouez, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 13, 2023, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Helen was born in New York on September 5, 1947, the daughter of the late John and Alvine (Sterling) Harrington.


Helen attended the College of New Rochelle in New York where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree. For over 20 years, she worked for Humana Insurance, holding multiple roles.


In October 1992, Helen wed Don Murawski, joining their two families as one.


Feeding and watching the birds was one of Helen’s favorite pastimes. Gardening, reading, and visiting friends brought her a great deal of joy. Vacations to Myrtle Beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren were the moments Helen cherished above all others.


Those she leaves behind are her husband, Don Murawski; her children, Sherrie (Aaron) Servais and John (Megan) Grant; her stepchildren, Debbie (Dave) Jahnke and Chris (Sue) Murawski; her grandchildren: Sarah (Noah) Heuvelmans, Grant Servais, Addison Grant, Ava Grant, Adriannah Popkey, Isadora Popkey, Genevieve Popkey, Ryan (Julie) Jahnke, Stephanie (Joe) Di Biase, Justin Jahnke, Jeremy (Leah) Jahnke, Mary Murawski, Zacharay Murawski, Greg Murawski, Joseph Murawski; and her five great-grandchildren. Helen is further survived by her brother, Richard (Geraldine) Harrington; her brothers-in-law, Gene (Connie) Murawski and Mark (Sharon) Murawski, and her faithful companion, Ruby.


Helen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alvine Harrington; her mother and father-in-law, Phil and Frances Murawski; her stepdaughter, Brenda (Murawski) Mathias; and her grandson Matthew Mathias.


In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen’s honor can be made to the family.


Family and friends may gather Monday, April 17, 2023, from 10:00 am until 11:45 am at Cotter Funeral & Cremation Care, 860 N. Webster Ave. De Pere, WI. The funeral service for Helen will begin at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Fewell officiating.
