Harold G. Verheyen

Harold G. Verheyen, 84, Bellevue, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Friday, August 27, 2010. He was born May 25, 1926 to the late John P. and Caroline (Kerkhoff) Verheyen in the Town of Rockland. Harold proudly retired from Fort Howard as a crane operator. Survivors include his sons: George (Fran) and Harold Jr. (Soncha) Verheyen and Robert Vander Kelen (Sheryl Flores); daughters, Sandy Gillis (Gary Kozicki) and Mary Ann Vander Kelen; grandchildren: John, Debra, Sherry, Mike, Chad, Cari, Rebecca, Sarah, Tina, Tom, and Jesse; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Gardipee, Mary (Joe) Kunesh, Nola (Fabian) Rentmeester, and Eileen (Lloyd) Sigl; brothers, Clifford (Joanne), Bernard (Elaine), Cletus, Cyril (Mary), and Darrell Verheyen (Margene); sisters-in-law, Delores and Betty Verheyen and Betty Leiterman; brother-in-law, Jim Devroy; and many other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene and his second wife, Lil; his parents, John P. and Caroline Verheyen; grandson, James and his father, Clem; sisters: Evelyn (Bud) Geurts, Juleen (Bernard) Scray, Judy Devroy, and Delores Verheyen; brothers, Alvin (Elaine), John Jr., Elmer, Clayton, and Raymond; and brothers-in-law, Will Lhost and Carl Gardipee. Family and friends may call Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr., Green Bay from 9:00a.m. until 10:45a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Tuesday at 11:00a.m. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
