Grace V. Witte

Grace Witte, age 92 of Green Bay, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. She was born on November 7, 1931, in the Town of Casco to the late John and Tille (Bauer) Blahnik. After graduating from Luxemburg - Casco High School, she married Donald Witte on October 27, 1956, at St. Bonafice Catholic Church, in Manitowoc. She worked for Motel 6 at the front desk for over 27 years. She then went to work for Oneida Casino where she stayed another 22 years. In her spare time, Grace enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and baking bread. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by; her husband of 67 years, Donald, children; Margaret (Bob) Ryerson, Jeffrey (Jill) Witte, Gregory (Bea) Witte and Karen (Sham) Papesh, grandchildren; Logan Papesh, Philip Witte, Jonathan Witte, Patrick Witte, Nathan Witte, Briana Papesh Van Wangeningen (Jeff) and eight great grandchildren. Grace is further survived by her sister, Arlene Mauer, Manitowoc, sister in law, Ann (Charles) Heidemann, Green Bay and brother in law, Peter (Mary) Witte, California as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, mother and father in law, Carl and Salome Witte, son in law, John Mead brother, John (Elsie) Blahnik, sister, Rainey (Ed) Cotter, Ellie (Marvin) Obry, Bernice (Robert) Anhalt and brother in law Robert Mauer.

Family and friends may gather on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Rd R, Denmark beginning at 10:00am until the funeral service to be held at 12:00 noon. Entombment will take place at Calvary Mausoleum in Manitowoc.
