Grace M. Rosenbaum, 76, De Pere, was granted her angel wings on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. She was born July 25, 1934, in Green Bay to the late Martin and Elsie (Fictum) Schweiner. On September 17, 1952, Grace married Harold Rosenbaum at All Saints Rectory in Denmark, WI. Grace was employed at Shade Industry, was an Avon Representative and a hot lunch cook at St. Mary’s in Greenleaf. She was a 4-H cooking leader and a member of St. Mary’s Altar Society. Her passion in life was her family and friends, reading cookbooks and preparing the most wonderful meals for all those she loved. Survivors include her six sons: Rickey (Betty), Wayside; Daniel (Theresa), Neenah; David (Sue), Greenleaf; Steven (Michelle), Appleton; Kenneth (Cindy), Freedom; Gerald (Andrea), Wrightstown; four daughters: Judy Gilson, Henderson, NV; Susan (Dave) Watruba, Kewaunee; Jean (Mark) Honzik, De Pere; Peggy (Brian) Van De Hey, Wrightstown; grandchildren: Ben (Lisa), Becky and (special friend- Darin), OSSN Rocky (Courtney) Rosenbaum, U.S. Navy, Chris, Andrew, Dan, Tim Rosenbaum, Trenton Rosenbaum, Leah (Wayne) Cisler, Ryan (fiancé-Katie), Nick (special friend-Kayla) Rosenbaum, Grant and Garrett Rosenbaum, Michelle (Jami) Jeske, Ginelle (special friend-Matt) Gilson, Darell (special friend-Stephanie) Gilson, Ashley and Joshua Honzik, Alex and Kaitlyn Van De Hey; great-grandchildren, PVT Brennan Gilson, U.S. Army, and Lauren Jeske, Hailiee, Seanna and Sawyer Burton, and Landon Rosenbaum; one sister, Patricia (Edwin) Valenta; two brothers, James (Karen) Schweiner and Martin (Nancy) Schweiner, Jr., one sister-in-law, Violet (Rosenbaum) McVey; two brothers-in-law, John Karbon, Jr., and Paul Kassner. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 2003; great-grandchild, Casey Rosenbaum and three sisters; Mary Karbon, Lillian Kassner and Sr. Doris Schweiner, two sisters-in-law, Lorine Rosenbaum, Esther (Rosenbaum) Nohr; four brothers-in-law, Elmer and Henry Rosenbaum, Robert McVey and Wesley Nohr. Family and friends may call Sunday, May 22, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul site, Wrightstown. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday at church, with Rev. Robert Kabat officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery, Greenleaf. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
