Gordon A. Trybek

June 3, 1943 — December 1, 2021

Gordon “Gordy” Anthony Trybek, 78, of Stangelville, WI, died peacefully at his home surrounded by family on December 1, 2021, from various heart, blood, lung and neurological conditions. The son of the late Leo and Mary (Wanic) Trybek was born June 3, 1943, in Green Bay, WI, and grew up in Krakow, WI. After his father’s death, Gordy’s family moved back to Green Bay. He graduated from East High School in 1961. At 6:30am on June 6, 1964, Gordy married Ann M. Hermans at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish in Green Bay. They were blessed with three children. He worked as an electrician, first, in the construction industry in several states, then, as lead electrician at Green Bay Packaging where he retired after more than 25 years. Gordy loved his job and everything about it—except having to make it to work for 6:00am. He always said he enjoyed “fast cars, firearms, and beer.” Gordy reveled in the detail of reloading ammunition and made a hobby of studying everything and anything about guns. He was a special man, greatly loved, and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife, Ann, children Tracey (Peter) Hoover, and Eric (Kristina) Trybek. He has three cherished grandchildren, John Gordon Hoover, Leo Aldus Trybek and Walden “Wally” Arno Trybek, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many caring friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teri Ann Trybek; parents, Leo and Mary Trybek; and siblings, Donald (Margaret) Trybek, Dorothy (Ignatius) Goral, and Raymond (Mary) Trybek.
