Glenn August Grahl

July 26, 1928 — August 9, 2015

Glenn A. Grahl, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Wayside Parkview Estates. The son of the late August and Elnora (Schultz) Grahl was born July 26, 1928 in the Town of Holland. He married Lois Runnoe on April 28, 1951, and she preceded him in death in 1988. Glenn served his country in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class. In addition to working with his father on the farm, Glenn worked at Wrightstown High School as a custodian, where he retired. Glenn was a member of American Legion Post 436 in Wrightstown and Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction. He loved the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where he would fish and hunt. Glenn also belonged to several bowling leagues. Survivors include his sister, Doris (the late Don) Seefeld of Fond du Lac; brother August F. (Mary) Grahl of Cascade; sister-in-law Joyce Grahl of Plymouth, Lois’ family: Ralph (JoAnn) Runnoe of Wrightstown, Madonna (Bob) Devine of Milwaukee, Roland Runnoe of Combined Locks, Vonny (Ray) Buchberger of Appleton, Arlene (Gary) Schreiber of Del Rio, Texas, Carol Runnoe of De Pere; special friend Rick Sawyer, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Lois, Glenn was preceded in death by his brother Elmer, sister-in-law, Patsy (Frank) Biasone, brother-in-law, Glen Runnoe. Family and friends may visit at Zion United Methodist Church, Forest Junction, on Thursday, August 13, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday with the Rev. Richard Andrus officiating. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenleaf. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory of Wrightstown is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staffs of Wayside Parkview Estates and Heartland Hospice for their special and dedicated care. Also, thank you to Lora from Greenleaf-Wayside Bank for taking care of Glenn’s finances.
