Gertrude E. (Dolski) Ihlenfeldt, 97, De Pere, long-time resident of Kewaunee, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 10, 2010. She was born January 19, 1913 in Stephenson, Michigan to the late Anton and Mary (Wawczyniak) Dolski. Gert married Vernon Ihlenfeldt on November 27, 1932 and they had four wonderful children. They shared 54 years together before Vernon passed away on January 27, 1985. Gert was a hard working farmer for close to 40 years. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, playing sheepshead, driving the Kewaunee country side for picnics and sharing her family history, going to church, and praying her Rosary. Gertrude was a very devout Catholic and had a special devotion to Mary, Our Blessed Mother. Gert is survived by her daughters: La Nita (Ron) Tebo of Bremerton, WA and Lola “Candy” Ihlenfeldt of Oshkosh; daughter-in-law, Barb Ihlendfeldt; son-in-law, Bill Mathis; grandchildren, Paul (Jeanne) Ihlenfeldt, Tahnee (Geoff) Bollert, Travis (Cara) Tebo, Toby (Debbie)Tebo, Kandice (Vicki) Banville, Dusty (Lindsey) Banville, Casey Banville, Robin (Tyler) Rovinski, and Chad Mathis; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Father Anthony Dolski and Jerome (Edith) Dolski; sister, Joan Bares; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; her parents; son, Len Ihlenfeldt; daughter, Linda Mathis; son-in-law, Roy Banville; granddaughter, Lori Bernhardt; sister, Alice (Ray) Flaherty; 2 infant brothers, Joseph and Anthony; and brother-in-law, Ray Bares. Family and friends may call Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, from 4:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., Allouez, from 10:00a.m. until 10:45a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Thursday at 11:00a.m. with Father V.
