Gerald J. Beining “Jerry” 1939 - 2023

On September 19, 2023, we said goodbye to our father, Jerry. He was born November 19,

1939, to the late Roman and Agnes (Danen) Beining. On May 14, 1971, Jerry was united in marriage to Joan Hutjens. Jerry and Joan had five children.

Jerry enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting and fishing and his trips out West.

Later in life Jerry found new hobbies of painting and playing cards.

Jerry is survived by his children: Amy Beining, Brenda (Brion Hayward) Beining, Cathy

(Aaron) Penterman, Doug Beining, and Eric (Dr. Will Cox) Beining; his grandsons

Ashton and Drake Penterman; as well as his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many

nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Joan, special friend Gladys Van Remortel;

brothers Cliff, Ken, John; and sister Mary.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dan Lindner for keeping their

friendship going on for over 50 years. We would also like to thank the staff at Abridge Care

Cottage of Chilton and Promedica Hospice, especially his nurses Kim and Karen.

A visitation will be held at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 North Webster Avenue, De Pere, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 2 pm to 4 pm with a memorial service to follow at 4 pm.
