George L. Belleau, 83, De Pere, passed away Friday June 28, 2013 after his long battle with cancer, with his loving wife by his side. He was born October 23, 1929 in Green Bay to the late Louis and Tess (Lindlom) Belleau. George graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Air Force. George retired from the Holiday Inn downtown Green Bay where he worked for 10 years. He was a member of the American Legion post 0066 of Silver Cliff, Athelstane. On October 20, 1985, George married Eleanora “Nora” Zasada. George is survived by his wife, Eleanora; children: Terry (Michelle) of Seattle,WA, Linda, David and family, Jerry (Sue), and Lisa, all of Green Bay; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother, William of De Pere; sister, Betty of Seattle, WA; stepchildren: Linda (Pat) Danen and family of Green Bay, Brenda (Terry) Martin and family of Crivitz, Dave and family of Green Bay; in-laws: Leonard and Sis Zasada, June Zasada, and Carol Toonen. Other survivors include; Carol Belleau and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, George is preceded in death by his son, John Belleau; sister, Alice Gwaltney; step-son, Michael Blohoweak; brothers-in-law, David Zasada and Roger Toonen. A celebration of George’s life will take place at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere on Tuesday July 2, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
