Gary E Lacourse

March 16, 1943 — June 19, 2021

Gary E. LaCourse, 78, DePere, WI passed away peacefully on June 19, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was the son of Lawrence and Eleanor (Proulx) LaCourse and was raised in Clinton, Iowa. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and married his loving wife Barbara Horst in 1962. They lived in Clinton until moving to Albuquerque, NM in 1991.
As a general manager of G&K Services in Albuquerque and a milkman in Clinton, as well as a referee, umpire, roofer, and avid league softball and basketball player, bowler, golfer and coach, Gary touched so many lives and created unforgettable memories with family and friends. He was a wonderful, big personality, kind-hearted man, who never missed an opportunity to make someone smile. Quite the entertainer, his laughter was his trademark.
He is survived by his children, Sheri LaCourse, Aurora, IL, Donna (Damian) Rowland, DePere, WI, Renee (Tim) LaCourse Burmeister, DePere, WI, and Michael (Christy) LaCourse, Excelsior, MN and grandchildren Alexandria, Adam, Michaela, Audrey, Jack, Evan, Annalise, Lauren, John, and Niko; great-granddaughter Rynn. He is also survived by sisters Carol (Joe) Hughes, Barbara (Chuck) Wardell, Paula (Kevin) Francke, Sydney (Tom) Malone, and Michelle LaCourse. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his sister Sandra and his brother Steve.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 9th at Prince of Peace Church, Clinton, Iowa. There will be a gathering for family and friends preceding the mass at 9:00 a.m. in the vestibule and a private family burial at St. Irenaeus Cemetery.
