Gail A Bielinski

April 24, 1941 — March 12, 2011

Gail A. (Schmoock) Bielinski, 69, Denmark, passed away March 12, 2011 after a courageous battle with lung disease. The daughter of the late Paul and Anita Schmoock was born April 24, 1941 in Two Rivers. She graduated from Mishicot High School and the Wisconsin School of Hair in Green Bay. On December 20, 1975, she married Milton Bielinski. During her career, she worked for: Paragon in Two Rivers and Schmoock’s Supper Club in Francis Creek, was the director of the Denmark Senior Center, and a supporter of the formation of the Bielinski Excavating partnership before building the Cedar Ridge Restaurant in October of 1988. Gail owned and operated Cedar Ridge until June 25, 2006. She was very involved with the Monday Card Club and Red Hatters, and she enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, restoring antiques and building mini doll houses. Her last accomplishment was helping with the start up of the DeGrand Family Restaurant. Gail is survived by her husband, Milton; children: Kelley (Todd) DeGrand, Kari (Joe) Schaefer, Jennifer Bielinski and Charlene (Todd) Rabenhorst; grandchildren: Sandra Bielinski, Owen and Ellah DeGrand; brothers and sisters: Paul Jr. Schmoock, Diane Tisler, Karen Rezek, Mary Schmoock, Judy Strohfeldt and Pat (Tom) Gesser; In-laws: Fran Schmoock, Jim (Mary Jo) Bielinski and Pat (Bernie) Buresh; step-children: Steve and Melissa Bielinski; step-grandchildren: Heather, Jasmine, Jared, Sabrina and Skyla Bielinski and their mother, Angie Bielinski. She is further survived by: Katie McCalpin; her lap companions: Bo-Bo and Snickers, and the Cedar Ridge family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul Sr. and Anita Schmoock; parents in-law: Walter and Clara Bielinski; Granddaughter Alexis Rabenhorst; Brother, Bill Schmoock; In-laws: Ursula Schmoock, Ken Sr. Tisler and Donny Rezek; nieces and nephews: Paul III, Michelle Schmoock, David Schmoock and Landon Bielinski. Family and friends may call at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark, from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, March 15, with a parish prayer service at 7:30pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, March 16, from 9:30am until the hour of Mass at All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday, at the Church, with Fr. Ron Colombo officiating. Online condolences may be expressed to Gail’s family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The ecumenical Lenten luncheon scheduled at All Saints Catholic Church on Wednesday has been cancelled.
