Franklin C. Colling, 87, formerly of De Pere, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013. He was born September 4, 1926 in the Town of Seymour, son of the late Christopher and Cora (Sachs) Colling. He married Norma Jean Andersen on October 23, 1948, at Hickory Corners Church, Suring, and she preceded him in death on November 21, 1999. Frank worked for the Marketing Association of America, retiring in 1988. While there he held several different positions, including fieldman, where he traveled to cheese factories to assist as needed. For 15 years prior to his retirement, he was the foreman of the warehouse and cheese store. He and Norma owned Fra-Nor Ceramics. They made and sold ceramics to several green houses and gift shops, and every year produced a special Christmas ornament. Frank and Norma enjoyed spending time at their cottage at While Lake, outside of Hickory. They loved entertaining friends and family, taking pontoon rides and tending their blueberry bushes and apple trees. They also enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, Nevada. Frank was a past member of the De Pere Men’s Club, Optimist and Lions. He enjoyed playing sheepshead and cribbage and took pride in being a gardener.
