Frances Doris (Justice) Zirbel

Frances Doris Zirbel, 90, De Pere, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at a local hospital. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 21, 1925. Frances was the daughter of the late Henry Allen Justice, Jr. and Frances Lorraine Henly. On May 8, 1946 she married Donald R. “Scoop” Zirbel at Immanuel Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. They then moved to De Pere where they raised their family and spent 56 years together. He preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Greg) Blandford; grandchildren, Rodney (Bonnie) Van Rite, Rory Van Rite (Essy Krause), Andrew Blandford, Megan Blandford; great-grandson, Craig Van Rite and a great-great-grandson, Owen Van Rite; brothers, Donald (Beth) Justice; Gailor (Ruth) Justice; sister, Joann Lewis. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; daughter, Vickie Van Rite; brother, Allen Justice. Family and friends may visit at St. John Lutheran Church, 1700 Lost Dauphin Rd., De Pere on Thursday, February 4, from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am with Pastor Gary Nokleberg officiating. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church for the seminary student fund.
