Frances (De Beukelar) Wollenberg

Frances T. Wollenberg, age 96, of rural De Pere, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at a local nursing home. She was born June 23, 1918 in the Town of Rockland to the late Peter De Beukelar and Anna (Geurts) De Beukelar. On July 5, 1944, she married Joseph G. Wollenberg at St. Mary’s Church in De Pere. She lived and worked on the family farm all her life. She worked at Scray’s Cheese Factory for many years, was a 4-H Leader, member of the Green Bay Square Dance Club, a member of St. Mary’s Church and a member of the St. Mary Altar Rosary Society. She is survived by her children: Pat Wery of Green Bay, Judy (Jim) Van Den Heuvel of Seymour, Kay Loose (special friend James Brunner) of Appleton, Mary (Jerry) Gossen of De Pere, George (Jean) Wollenberg of De Pere, Millie Schroeder (special friend Joe Burton) of Greenleaf, and Steve (Charlene) Wollenberg of De Pere. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren/great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph; brother John (Martha) De Beukelar, sisters: Henrietta De Beukelar and Sr. Mary Jo (Josephine) De Beukelar, son-in-law Robert Schroeder, great-granddaughter Harmony Van Den Heuvel, and a special friend, Allan Wery. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Avenue, De Pere, on Sunday, April 5, from 5:00-8:00pm with a parish prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, from 10:00am until 10:45am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating.
