Faye M. Haven

March 9, 1919 — May 31, 2013

Very early in the morning of Friday, May 31, 2013, Faye M. Haven, age 94, awoke in Heaven and took a walk on the streets of gold in her brand new NON-orthopedic shoes. She was born in Allenville, Illinois, to James A. and Lois E. (Ethington) Haven. She graduated in 1937 from Green Bay West High School. Faye was employed as a bookkeeper for Green Bay Packaging retiring after 30 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, golf, bowling, reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting, puzzles, and still solved the daily newspaper word puzzles until a few weeks ago. After retiring, Faye volunteered at the Brown County Library and also as a driver for Brown County Social Services. Faye was a long-time member of the First Christian Church (now Lifebridge Christian Church) in Green Bay. While living together with her sisters in Iron Mountain, Michigan, she was a member of the Balsam Street Christian Church. Most recently she made her home with her nephew and his wife, Mark W. and Brenda A. (LaHaye) Haven, in Prescott, Arizona. There she attended the Prescott Christian Church where she used her sewing talents embroidering squares for baby quilts. Survivors include two sisters, Charlotte R. Jedda and Lois Everal Summers, both of Kingsford, Michigan, and a sister-in-law, Johanna (Addison) Haven of Titusville, Florida. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was one sister, Mabel Louise Hockstock, and three brothers, W. Harold, James A., and Morris E. Haven. Family and friends may call Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 2:30 p.m. until the hour of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, with Rev. Larry Neargarth officiating. Interment will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
