Faye Ann Johnson

January 15, 1958 — November 19, 2013

On Tuesday, November 19th, 2013, Faye Ann Johnson, age 55, went home to heaven after a valiant fight against breast cancer. This world’s loss is heaven’s gain. Faye was born on January 15th, 1958, nine months after mom and dad’s honeymoon at Fay Lake. She remained in the Green Bay area all her life, working in sales at various local businesses. She cherished her last job at Vandervest Harley Davidson, where she was able to mix her job with her passion for riding. She was an active member of the Packerland Hog Chapter and an avid volunteer for charitable organizations. Always one for adventure, her interests were varied. From golfing, to serving as a volunteer fire fighter for the city of De Pere, to horseback riding in Colorado, to cliff diving in Jamaica, Faye was game for all. The life of the party, her smile blessed all those around her. Her faith and strength throughout her illness amazed all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Mark Cookle; sons: Nathan (special friend Jill Meulemans) and Dane Doro; their father and close friend Dan Doro; grandson Dawson Willard Doro and his mother Kristen Rueden; mother Patricia Johnson; sisters Kim DeCleene, Lori (Steve) Fayas, Lynn (special friend Richard Julian) Johnson; sister-in-law Karen (Steve) Johnson, nieces: Mandi Weatherex, Amber Conway, Saige DeCleene, McKenzie Johnson; nephews: Preston Fayas, Trevor Fayas, Logan DeCleene and Bradley Johnson: brother-in-law Mark DeCleene. Her father, Willard Johnson, a strong Christian man, went before her, as did her grandparents and aunts and uncles. Faye lived her life with energy and passion. Her greatest desire is that all would come to know Jesus personally, accepting the sacrifice of his life on the cross so that we may gain the rich reward of heaven. She left this earth as the final verse of her favorite song, In Christ Alone, played. “No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me; from life’s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no scheme of man, can ever pluck me from His hand, Till He returns, or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I’ll stand”. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30am on Saturday Nov. 23rd at Heartland Church, 3340 Lineville Rd, Green Bay. Service will be at 11:30 with Pastors Scott Werlein, Terry Martell, and Uncle Paul Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for ASPIRO, Inc. is established in honor of her son, Dane.
