Eunice Mae (Bruss) Lindsley

February 28, 1924 — August 10, 2017

Eunice Lindsley, age 93, of Bellevue passed away peacefully on August 10, 2017. She was born February 28, 1924 in Kaukauna, Wi. to Edwin and Blanche (Van Rixel) Bruss. On April 27, 1940, she married Robert C. Lindsley at St. Philip Church in Preble, Wisconsin. They relocated to Hemet, California in 1980 and Eunice returned to Wisconsin in 2014. Along with being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Eunice was an avid golfer, master seamstress/tailor and oil painter. She enjoyed RV trips throughout the United States and Canada, marshalling at the Dinah Shore Golf Tournaments in Palm Springs and co-hosting for the Corp of Engineers at the Bonneville Dam located between the States of Idaho and Washington. She is survived by her children Gary (Susan) Lindsley and Glen (Cheri) Lindsley; grandchildren Mark (Trudy) Lindsley, Keith (Sylva) Lindsley, Nicole Lindsley, Tonya (Ryan) Rasmussen, Timothy (Julie) Shaw, Lindsley Shaw, Robert (Kate) Lindsley and Leah (Adam) Lindsley; 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, sister Bette (Roland) Brennan, brother Lyle (Nitze) Bruss as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Robert, daughter and son in law Gail and John Shaw, brothers and sister in laws Leroy (Elaine) Bruss and Ed Jr. (Marilyn) Bruss, sister and brother in law Grace (Art) VanderStek, brother in law Roland Brennan, sister in law Amber Lindsley and in laws Ben and Marcella Lindsley. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at St. Bernard Parish, 2040 Hillside Lane, Green Bay, WI with a memorial service to follow at 11:00am at the church. Inurnment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd. Memorials can be given to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org in memory of Eunice. On line condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Bellevue Retirement Village for their assistance as well as Donna with Right at Home for her loving care. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
