Eugene "Gene" Kennedy

Eugene (Gene) A. Kennedy, 63, rural Denmark, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at a local hospital following a short illness. He was born April 30, 1951 in Green Bay, son of the late Francis and Helen (Grimm) Kennedy. Gene graduated from Denmark High School and worked for Brillion Iron Works, retiring in 2013. Gene loved going to Packer games, hunting and being with his many friends. He loved to read, especially about the civil war. He had hoped to travel to Gettysburg, PA this year. He was a man of deep faith in the Lord, and helped anyone in need. He loved children; his favorite charities were St. Jude Hospital and the Smile Train. Survivors include his siblings: George and Jean Kennedy, Brillion; Kay Kennedy, rural Denmark; Diane and Earl Weber, Two Rivers; Frank and Lynn Kennedy, Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Dean Kennedy, Green Bay; and Susan Kennedy, North Hollywood, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call Monday, November 24, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark, where there will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stark, with Fr.
