Ernest John Rosik

Ernest John Rosik, age 90, of Denmark, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018. He was born January 25, 1928 to the late John and Anna (Mroz) Rosik. He married Dorothy Sipiorski on Aug. 28, 1948. He was a dairy farmer all of life, which he greatly enjoyed. He was also employed at Northern Paper and Leichts Transfer and Storage. Ernest was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Teamsters Local 75 and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, booyah and gardening. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

He is survived by four sons, Richard (Sharon) Rosik, Denmark; Arnold (Sandra) Rosik, Crivitz; Dan (Rose) Rosik, Denmark; Carl (Chris) Rosik, Casco; one daughter, Sharon Van De Hei, Green Bay; 15 grandchildren, Alicia and Marissa Rosik, Trista (Allen) Kee; Brenda (Troy) Heinz, Brian (Diana) Rosik, Breanna (Dave Wesolowski) Rosik, Jamie (Robert) Rhodes, Joseph, Cassandra, Courtney (Tyler Exferd), Tyler Rosik and Santana Rosik, James Van De Hei, Jenna (Ryan) Zimdars, Jessie (Marshal) Nooyen; 14 great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Landen Kee, Melani and Quinton Rosik, Cole, Eliza and Reed Heinz, Carson and Riley Rosik, Kylie Rosik, Adler Van De Hei, Eleanor Zimdars, Tucker and Tanner Nooyen; one sister, Leona Pelishek.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Rosik on December 11, 2017; three brothers, Edward (Frances) Rosik, Stanley (Ann) Rosik, Leo (Lucille) Rosik; five sisters, Josephine (Joseph) Matuszewski, Rose (Theodore) Matuszewski, Anna (Edward) Gruscynski, Verna (Ben) Pavlik, Esther (Hank) Wolback; one brother-in-law, Robert Pelishek.

Family and friends may visit at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 3845 Willow Road in Green Bay, on Thursday, March 15, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with the Rev. Dan Viertel officiating. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery- Pine Grove. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
