Emma Evelyn Hull

August 17, 1932 — April 26, 2015

Emma Evelyn Hull passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease, she was 82. She survived by her Husband David M. Hull Green Bay, three children Lisa Hull Atlanta, Georgia, Jana Dorscheimer Portland, Oregon, Devin Hull, Green Bay. Two Grandchildren, Maxwell Dorscheimer Portland Oregon, Jillian Bridges (James Bridges), and one great grandson James Bridges III all of Denver Colorado. Born in Toledo, Ohio to Horace “Curly” Emma Dauster, Emma was first of two girls, Emma and her sister Elizabeth “Liz” Brunke. Elizabeth preceded her in death in 2004. Emma grew up a self described “Navy-Brat” and lived in such places as Long Beach California, Mystic Connecticut, and Panama. Her family returned to Toledo for High School, and Emma graduated from Toledo University. Toledo is where she met and married the love of her life David Hull. They were married for nearly 60 years. They lived in Milwaukee WI, Omaha Nebraska, and then Crystal Lake Illinois where they raised their three children, Lisa, Jana, and Devin. Emma and David moved to Green Bay in 1979, where Emma worked at Howard-Suamico school district as a Title 1 reading teacher and a Mentor to many families in crisis at Brown County Human Services – Curative Rehabilitation as a wrap-around worker. Emma was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Martha Washington Chapter – Order or Eastern Stars. She dearly loved her family, especially her Grandchildren. The heart of an artist, Emma loved to garden, cook, sing, sew, crochet, and do other home crafts. Christmas time was her favorite time of year, a handcrafted Christmas tree in every room with décor she made, special family recipes, and of course her famous Christmas cookies. Emma, loving wife, mother and Nana will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Family and friends may visit Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Wednesday, April 28, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. David Wilkinson officiating.
