Elverta I. (Schroeder) Bittner

Elverta I. Bittner, 92, De Pere, entered eternal rest Sunday July 17, 2011. She was born March 29, 1919 in the town of Glenmore to the late Max and Emma Pauline (Giersbach) Schroeder. She married Laurence Bittner on May 28, 1938, and they made their home and raised their family in De Pere. Elverta was a loving mother whose strength and caring will always be with her family. Survivors include four daughters: Carole Bussiere, Panama; Joan Leming, Florida; Deborah Bittner, Maryland; and Paulette Bittner, De Pere; three grandchildren: Dirksen Bussiere, James Leming, and Jessica Leming; and one brother, Orville Schroeder. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Laurence, on February 4, 1996; five brothers: Norman, Merlin, Walter, Roland, and Marvin; and one sister, Florelda Krueger. Friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, 901 Shawano Ave., Green Bay, on Wednesday, July 20th from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. The funeral service will be conducted at the church on Wednesday at 10:30 am with Rev.
