Elmer Henry Loppnow

Elmer Loppnow, 92, Morrison, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017. The son of the late Henry and Eleonora (Natzke) Loppnow was born on June 17, 1925. He attended Wayside Zion Lutheran School for eight years and then started working on the farm. On June 27, 1953, he married Sylvia Uecker at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church. He was a devoted member of Morrison Zion Lutheran Church where he enjoyed singing in the church male choir. He was an avid fisherman and loved to go hunting. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia; daughter, Jane (Daniel) Herlache, De Pere; step-grandchildren: Christopher (Stephanie) Herlache; Jessica (Eric) Jantz; great-grandchildren: Logan, Cuhlen, Iris, and Ruby; brother, Rev. Henry (Serene) Loppnow, New Albany, IN; sister, Arleen (Dick) Burmeister, Winona, MN; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Loppnow, Reedsville; Margaret (Roland) Schultz; Alice Uecker; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, John; sisters, Norma (Rudy) Dobberpuhl; Eldora (Melvin) Buchholz; and brother, Edwin Loppnow. Family and friends may visit at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church, 7373 County Rd W, Greenleaf, on Wednesday, July 5, from 9:00am until 10:45am. The funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00am with Pastor Randy Ott officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
