Elmer B. Czarneski

September 19, 1941 — February 13, 2022

Elmer “Al” Czarneski, 80, of Denmark passed away peacefully at home Sunday February 13, 2022.

Al was born September 19, 1941, in Green Bay, WI to the late Bernard and Angeline (Krerowicz) Czarneski. He was a hard worker, and someone you could always turn to for a helping hand, tool, advise, or just his friendship. Al spent nearly 20 years as a Iron Worker/Rod Buster for Local 86, after his retirement in 1984 he continued his “man of all trades” by fixing pretty much anything, mechanical work, body work, painting, you name it, and if Al didn’t have a tool for the job he would make his own. When he wasn’t working Al found his greatest pleasure with family, riding his Harley, being with friends, sitting by the campfire listening to country music having a beer, playing cards and shaking dice. Al married Connie Martin October 22, 1966, who loved him just enough to put up with him for 55 eventful years.

Al is survived by his wife Connie, daughter Christine (Jim) Quick, son Alan Czarneski (friend Christine), grandchildren; Danielle (Ricky) Van Gheem, Eric Quick, Rylie Czarneski, great grandchildren; Deagan, Dominic and Madalynn Van Gheem, sisters; Evie Voss, Dorothy Kobes, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Amanda Czarneski, parents Ben and Angeline, brother Joe Czarenski, sisters; Emily Kaminski, Florence Ferron and Margie Kiel.

A memorial service for Al will be held Friday February 18, 2022, from 3pm until 7pm at Cotter Funeral Home – Denmark, with a sharing of the memories at 6pm. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
