Elizabeth J. Ausloos

April 24, 1931 — December 5, 2011

Elizabeth “Betty” Jeannine Ausloos, 80, Denmark, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 5, 2011, at a local hospital surrounded by her family. She was born April 24, 1931, in Madison, Wisconsin, daughter to the late William and Irene (Lalor) Newman. She graduated from Trinity High School, Oak Park, IL. Betty married John M. Ausloos of Lena, WI on January 31,1953. Over the years Betty kept herself busy and enjoyed working in many capacities. She worked at The Kraft Company in Chicago, IL, was an owner/operator of a Surge dealership in Denmark, WI, and was the owner/operator of Denmark Plumbing and Heating Sons. Following the death of her husband, Betty worked as an NWTC coordinator and a sales associate at Prange’s Store. Betty had fond memories of the people she worked with at Channel 2, WBAY, where she performed accounts receivable and switchboard duties for several years. Her desire to help her family led her into another career move where she took on administrative duties for Northern Concrete Construction, Inc. When Betty no longer wished to work full- time, she took a part-time position with VanderPerren and Associates where she worked until July of 2010. Betty was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark, WI. She enjoyed many things in life—knitting, sewing, ceramics, playing cards with her special friends and family, and taking time to do things with the people that she loved. You could always find her baking or cooking for someone as she was the most thoughtful person we could imagine having in our lives. Betty enjoyed family gatherings and went the extra mile to ensure that everyone left with a smile, a package of cookies, her special recipe pretzels, and banana bread. Our family spent a lot of time together at our cottage on Lost Lake. This brought much joy to Betty seeing her family together and having fun. Betty will be deeply missed by five children: Jackie Larsen (John) and (George Sieczka) Green Bay, Judy Schlies (Dale) Denmark, Janet Stewart (Jeff), Kaukauna, Mike Ausloos (Debbie) Denmark, Steve Ausloos (Kelly) Green Bay; grandchildren: Rob (Paula), Jeff (Daisy), Katie (Chad), Tony (Sarah), Andy (Angie), Ashley (Zack), Ryan (Jenny), Casey (Lauren), Taylor, Derek, Brad, Brianna, Megan, and Noelle and great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Maxwell, Isabella, Payton, Tucker, Addyson, Zoe, Tessa, Gabrielle, Jacob and another great-grandchild due in May. Her brothers are also saddened by her death: Gerald (Marion) Newman, DeForest, WI and Donald Newman, Madison, WI. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John (Blackie) M. Ausloos, her parents, Blackie’s parents, John and Louise Ausloos, and her special love, Buck VanderPerren. Family and friends may call Friday, December 9, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark, where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the procession leaves for All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday at church, with Fr. Ron Colombo officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
