Eleanor A. (Ellie) Kwasny, age 81, De Pere, joined her loving husband in heaven on Thursday, June 12, 2014. She was born Eleanor A Rezach on October 19, 1932 to Victor and Hattie (Knipp) Rezach. She married Clifford Kwasny on October 7, 1950. Ellie was a cook at the Chatterhouse Supper Club in De Pere and her chicken dumpling soup became the house recipe. Later she worked for the Radisson at the Gathering in the Irene Moore Activity Center until her retirement. Ellie was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in De Pere and a Moose Lodge Member. She greatly enjoyed trips to the casino, visiting her friends, traveling and a good cup of coffee. She is survived by children: Lois (Bob) Halonen of Oneida, Cliff Jr. of Green Bay, Marlene Ackley of Kewaunee, Steve (Julie) of Oneida, Tom of Green Bay, Karen (Jeff) Baird of Algoma, Sharon (Jim) Cochenet of Oconto, Mike (RaeLynn) of De Pere and Ken of Green Bay. She is further survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law: Vaughn Rezach of Milwaukee, Sandy Rezach of Two Rivers, Betty Gretz of Manitowoc, Shirley (Dan) Brusky of Kewaunee, Mary Fiala of Green Bay, Larry (Shirley) Kwasny of Appleton, Clarence “Butch” (Carol) Kwasny of Kewaunee, Lloyd (Carol) Kwasny of Green Bay, Carol Zastrow of Green Bay, Marilyn (John) Wiegert of Wrightstown and David (Sandy) Kwasny of Casco. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchidren., numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her kitties, Pete and Shoo Shoo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, two brothers, a brother-in-law, three nephews, two nieces and her grandson, Jason. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Tuesday, June 17, from 3:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm with Chaplain Larry from Unity Hospice officiating. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere at 11:00am on Wednesday.
