Elaine W. Leiberg, 93, Allouez, passed away Tuesday September 6, 2022, peacefully surrounded by her family. Elaine was born June 3, 1929 in Green Bay daughter of the late George W. and Nellie (Linsen) Vanden Huevel. Elaine married Louis Leiberg July 8, 1950 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Allouez and he preceded her in death November 30, 2002. Raising her 10 children was her most satisfying job, but she also taught ceramics in her home as well as working at the Lee Store in De Pere. Elaine enjoyed golfing, shopping and was an artist using both oil and water colors.

Survivors include her children: Linda Somerville (David Miller), Sue (Murray) Wishengrad, Todd (Suzie), Larry (Theresa), Chris (Ava), Anne (Bob) Hunt, Louis Jr (Shelley), Jenny (Mitch) Lorish, Becky Broderick (Mark Konkle), son-in-law Rex Meyer; 23 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson. A sister, Joan Froelich; sister-in-law Mary Kasbohm (Don Berken); numerous nieces and nephews.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Louis; daughter Mary Meyer; three sisters: Eleanor (John) O’Hara, Bernice (Howard) Hockers, Marilyn (Al) Gokey; brothers-in-law Donald Van Den Busch and Fran Froelich.

Friends and family may call at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., Green Bay (Allouez) on Wednesday September 14, 2022 from 9:30am until 10:45AM. Memorial mass at 11:00am Wednesday at the church with Fr. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund to Odd Fellows Nursing Home and Unity Hospice has been established.
